​Survey Shows Both Democrats & Republican Voters Support High-Skilled Immigration​

A recent Echelon Insights poll for the Economic Innovation Group reveals that 74% of American voters support increasing high-skilled immigration, with strong bipartisan backing. Support spans across all major swing states and remains high despite concerns over the economy and border security. While voters are critical of the overall immigration system, they recognize the economic benefits of high-skilled immigrants (like you!). The poll highlights the potential for bipartisan immigration reform focused on attracting highly skilled foreign talent.

​JPMorgan Sued for Retaliation Against Indian H-1B Worker Over Discrimination Complaints​

JPMorgan Chase & Co. unlawfully fired an Indian software developer on an H-1B visa after he complained about race and national origin discrimination, according to a new federal lawsuit. Prafull Khare alleged that executives at the bank gave him work assignments that did not match up with the job duties outlined in the application for his H-1B. After Khare complained about what he viewed as discrimination, JPMorgan retaliated by firing him in violation of Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act and Section 1981 of the 1866 Civil Rights Act.

​USCIS Changes Reduce H-1B Registrations Dramatically in FY25​

The USCIS's new measures reduced H-1B multiple registrations by over 88% for FY25, leading to a 38% overall decrease in registrations. The total dropped from 758,994 in FY24 to 470,342 in FY25. The initial lottery selected 120,603 registrations for 114,017 beneficiaries. Unique beneficiary and employer counts remained stable compared to FY24.
